Tools
Many people often ask what it takes to create a dinosaur model, I have assembled a list of suggested items above to help the beginning modeler to get started. I am sure that there are many more tools that could be utilized, however, this is a very good start.

Tips
I was fortunate enough to get some pretty good tips from a couple of very talented artists when I was just getting started in the field and would like to share them with you now:

  1. Make a wire armature cover it with foil and then rough-in the general shape of your animal.
  2. Bake well (until the sculpey is dark orange).
  3. Build your muscles on top of this "rough" sculpture.
  4. Bake your teeth (if any) seperately and then insert them into the animal.
  5. If your animal has a reoccuring scale/fur/feather pattern, make yourself a stamp tool for your skin covering.
  6. Sculpt with the glass eyes in place - don't worry, baking at such a low temp. won't hurt them and they will cast perfectly.

These are just a few suggestions, if you have more please email me and I will include them in this list.
